ABOUT THIS NECKLACE
Originally called whirligigs, pinwheels were invented in the nineteenth century by a woman who imagined children running while holding them in the air. In this Victorian version, a wheel of gracefully curved 'spokes' are set with lively old mine- and European-cut diamonds, interspersed by small and large stones, all creating a whirling light show around a central old mine cut. Whee! Total diamond weight, 2.13 carats. Surrounded by a coin-edged silver over 14K yellow gold frame, it suspends from an 18-inch darkened silver chain.
